I am a qualified Yoga therapist, trained with Paul Harvey at the Centre for Yoga Studies.
I offer personal, one to one yoga tuition and therapy from my home in Sand Bay near Weston-super-Mare.


I offer a free preliminary discussion, with no obligation. If you decide to continue I will suggest a schedule of appointments appropriate top your situation and to what you want to achieve from Yoga. In between appointments you will do a short daily practice at home. 
Contact time is charged at £32 per hour. A typical course of personal tuition or therapy will consist of five hours contact time over six months. This means on a week by week basis, personal tuition costs about the same as a weekly class, but much more targeted to you as an individual.

Personalised Yoga can offer a range of tools to support our daily lives. A teacher will carefully tailor your practice to suit your personal needs and goals. As well as physical postures a Yoga practice can include breathing techniques, help with mental concentration, techniques to energise or relax ourselves and meditation practices. Individual, personalised Yoga is recommended for anyone who: 

o        has specific Yoga needs, for example if they find the postures used in class are difficult or inadvisable;

o        would like to do Yoga but finds it difficult to get to a weekly class;

o        is interested in learning about Yoga as a lifestyle choice;

o        would like to explore Yoga more deeply;

o        has been practising Yoga by themselves and would like some teaching guidance and advice;

o       is interested in developing further in any aspect of their Yoga practice.

One to one sessions allow time to discuss your individual priorities, needs and goals. As your personal tutor I will devise for you an individual home Yoga practice which you can do at home. A typical home yoga practice lasts 20 to 30 minutes depending on your objectives and the amount of time you have available. During the first lesson I will make sure you are comfortable with your practice and that it meets your needs. Every few weeks we will meet again to review your experience and progress. I will adjust and develop your practice routine as needed.

'Those who wish to develop their natural wellbeing may find yoga therapy a useful route. Yoga therapy is taught by yoga teachers with additional training and experience in the therapeutic adaptation and application of yoga. Yoga therapy may help with many issues and can be appropriate for a wide range of ages and lifestyles as well as those looking for a healthier way of life. All that is needed from the participant is the desire to help her or himself and the willingness to practise regularly.

Through practising a yoga therapy programme the participant may, for example, become more aware of posture and breathing. She/he may also find regular practice can help to promote relaxation, aid sleep and relieve tension; it may help to contribute to an increased sense of wellbeing and a positive mood.'
